...the Lau Pa Sat performance!
RAHHHHHH Jackson! You come any nearer to me with your nonsenses, you'll have your lips stapled! C'mon lah, there really isn't anything between me and Hai Qing (to be very frank). We're just only friends: it is just a courteous way of saying "Well Done" to your friend after they had practiced so hard and perform for you. And I doubt he knows I have the habit of blushing for no rhyme of reason since last year. Zz... these people.
I met Yun Han and Shuan Yong at Point (oh, what a lightbulb!) and we took 72 to Yio Chu Kang station. Yun Han said I looked WEIRD... =.=" with my cardigan and ballet flats? I walked with Yun Han to the bus stop to wait for Shuan Yong when a 72 bus stopped and I immediately pointed to a guy in the bus (he's wearing white), who resembles SY from afar... turns out SY is wearing black. X_X... Oh goshhhhhhhhh. So embarrassing!
Bought some plastic flowers on the way and walked to Lau Pa Sat. We started talking in ang-moh slangs ever since Jie Ying pronounced "Chow Yun FAT" LOL!
Me: "Let's go to Lao Ba SAD!"
Yun Han: "Aiyoh! Why you make your Lao Ba SAD!"
So lame lah! SY was the lamest lor, laughing for no rhyme of reason even if the joke was a cold one... *brr*.
We thought we were lost until we saw a lorry with loads of percussion instrument inside ^^ Saw Mr Lim too, haha! They played some "unknown" songs and "John Williams" while we were having our satays as dinner... so poor thing right? xD After that, gave flower to Hai Qing and Charles and chatter with Hai Qing for "A WHILE"! He missed his dinner, too bad =P

Henderson's cymbals were SO not alert laaa! The band still can chit chat on stage while the audience are making their way in?! Guess what's Henderson's last song before the intermission?
"Highlights from High School Musical"
O.O...
Jonathan spot it first and kept saying "poser la!".
They failed to pose us... HAHA.
The conductor took away the 1st bar where the drumset comes in! ...no wonder it sounded SO weird. Tempo was slow... which made it sound kinda retarded. And they sang "We're all in this Together" and dance with their instruments, which I quite enjoyed, until a man came on stage and started singing with a horrid voice! (with wrong lyrics!)
Yuying gave the audience the best impression in the concert: they started with a march and their conductor made their way in. "Fairytale" was actually "Tong Hua" (a chinese song) in the concert performed by Yuying band and er... 2 female singers.
The girls went totally OFF-TUNE when they hit the climax in the chorus!
You should see our reactions, haha!

Ole!
I say "Addiction", you say "SUCCESS!"
I told myself that I must NOT be nervous during the concert (but what the heck happened?
) and I woke up at freaky 7am in the morning! 
Gee, I'm waking up every single hour to ask Mom what time is it already. So managed to arrive in school on time, helped out percussion, settled down, wait for bus to come and off we head to VCH! 
Jelly, as one of the emcees, was very cute la 'cos she didn't know when to come on stage. She suggested, "Mr Lim, when you finish the song you cue us to come in la!". Mr Lim did the cue-ing actions and sure enough, the whole band was laughing. Went through "Red Leaves" and I didn't expect my clarinet to squeak LOUDLY all the way through the crescendo part! 
Eek, throw face. 
Mr Lim stopped and looked at me with very big eyes, then turned to ask Faith why we'll squeak.
Got some scolding before we have our dinner. An Chun had the whole band to shout "YUM SENG!" during dinner time then Faith/Joey got the clarinet section to shout the same thing too
The band boo-ed at us but it didn't take long for trumpet section to pose us, lol. The girls toilet was so crammed and people were banging on doors rushing others to be faster. Shu Zhuang's head popped over the door and shouted,
"Mei Xuan leh! Ni zai na li!"

When I finally got into a cubicle and started to change, Jelly banged on my door and I shouted back that I'm inside, after that she said "Oh! My section one cannot rush them, other section de can!". Evil, heh heh.
The whole band got ready and settled down on the stage and Mr Lim talked to us about the journey he has with us which can really make you cry! Who had expected Joey's tears to flow the fastest
and seeing her cry, she made me cry too! 
Backstage also had Emily, Julie, Vivien and more girls crying because they're nervous or rather, touched by what Mr Lim has told the band. Yun Han consoled me and said, "Eh, steady hor!". So cute 
Clarinet section lined up behind the doors as the audience were settling down. Mr Benny Goh came and told us to relax and enjoy the concert. He also reminded us to inhale and exhale deeply so as not to get nervous, thanks alot! (:
Finally, the moment of truth.
We walked onto the stage as the audience were roaring with applause and cheers (I didn't know Sherwin has that much supporters!). "Starflight" was pretty good except that my fingers were trembling during the 1st half. "Red Leaves" was okay and the soloists did a good job, then it was "American Elegy"! Joey and Shu Zhuang told me that they can cry when playing this piece... 
Shi Min did a very good job of playing the solo! "Centuria" was great although there were some hiccups, same for "High School Musical" too. It seems like after 1st half, we weren't nervous at all!
"Leroy Anderson Portrait"! It was a bit shaky during "Serenata" but we eventually got into Mr Lim's tempo. "Twilight" was great, "American Salute" too. "Latin" was the most enjoyable piece! I nearly lost balance when I did the can-can moves Encore! For "Believe", I swopped roles with Ziana and "Copa" was DA BEST! We took out our mouthpiece and barrel during the percussion solo to make some weird noise before putting it back to play the song.
We did cheers after the concert and Mr Chia and Mr Khoo came to the stage to see the band! Received presents and Li Yin was super happy when Hai Qing gave her the "Goong"miniature puppet. On the way home on the woodwind bus, Shuan Yong went over to Yun Han to give her Ferrero Rocher chocolates which is in a heart-shaped container! Aww, so sweet!
Was too tired and in no mood to celebrate after we reach school.

Back to blogging at last 'cos my kitchen's getting revamped and the TV has moved to my brother room which disallowed me to use the computer for like... more than a straight week! Still, some things are better left UN-blogged out.
Times really flies and we're down to 2 more days to "Addiction!". An Chun told the band yesterday that we had to fall in at 6.45am due to the late-comers, luckily I reached school in the nick of time. Who had expected Mr Lee to be screaming our heads off about not moving fast enough and being talkative when I just flipped open my phone? He shot at me in a fierce tone,
"Hui Yi, still dare to use phone ah!"
Wronged! I was SO wronged!
"I calling Jie Ying lah!"
I didn't cared his warning and continued to wait for my phone to read the contact list before I called her. Turns out that she has already reach school.
After feeling WRONGED, I've went to help out the percussion to rid all the negative emotions I have in myself. Hayley, Yun Han and I intended to carry the xylo downstairs when Mr Lee (again) interrupted me and apologised, volunteered to do my workload. I refused to hand the xylo to him but he insisted and I walked away in the end.
Mr Lee then apologised again when the band gathered at the foyer and he spotted Emily talking... so he scolded her. Know what he said,
"Today I test you and Emily... ya, very strong, never shed tears one! Good! I will recommend both of you!"
What the...
I felt so pang seh-ed when I got on the bus.
Mr Lim went through the seating arrangements and songs as soon as we reach VCH, he said that "Red Leaves" was good! ^^ Yahooooo! He told us to sit half chair and it seems like most of us are slipping off already and Faith just couldn't sit half chair (because her butt is too big), hehe.
I kept my instrument AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE and Jia Min came to ask where has her pencil gone, so I told her that it's at somewhere-somewhere while Wee Peng was shouting and hurrying at other clarinetists to stop talking and keep faster 'cos the bus is outside already. All you do is TALK and no actions were done. This woman just keep interrupting my conversation with Jia Min! She screamed at me when the others has finished. I really couldn't take it anymore and stood up with my case to express my unhappiness at her,
"Shout shout shout... scream scream scream... you know our instruments got alot of sections ma! You very irritating leh!"
and stormed off. She was stunned la, of course. Jelly came tp ask me why I was so mad, I explained to her till I cried... gee. Wronged the 2nd time when I was being a good soul to help Jia Min find her pencil!
About the abandoned thing? It's about friend stuffs again, don't wish to express it here.
