Guess how much I got for my theory results? 3 more marks to distinction! Yay! FYI, distinction is 90 marks. Good job to Shuan Yong and Dickson on their results too (:

I'm sooooooooo glad that I finally clear 3 papers today, phew! Today's papers were killers! Well, almost. Left bio to go, yay~

If the admin had arrange bio and a.math on the same day I'd prolly murder her already.

Anyway, my class was playing 老鹰抓小鸡 during PE lessons on Wednesday. Boys versus girls. The guys had to drop 10 each time their line breaks, and their line broke twice, haha. But girls had to drop 20... but we broke our line only once, haha.

Then had ball game, boys versus girls again but this time with Saiful, Winson, Larry and Wei Ren in the girls team. We were using goal posts instead of chairs, so there were like 3 goalkeepers for the girls team and 1 goalkeeper for guy's team, haha. Something happened. CX tried to shove the ball into the goal post while the 3 girls were blocking it with their legs... PERVERT! OHMYGOSH! HAHA! Sounds a little obscene and inappropriate :P

When Winson was running towards the stage staircase to retrieve the ball, he tripped on one of the steps and almost slammed into the wall *smacks head* Anna and I laugh until we couldn't stand! :D

That's all. Got nothing else to blog about already, lol.

In case you don't know what my blog title means... it's actually "lively however tenderly" in German.

Well I'm not studying German or whatever lah, this phrase appeared in my theory exam last year and I didn't bother to study the German terms... my dear 5 marks just flew away like this.

Oh speaking of theory exam, I'm getting my results soon! I doubt it'll be a distinction, at least a merit perhaps? Pray pray pray. Hopefully our results arrive at Ms Tania's house soon!

Muahahaha~ I bought worth of $50+ stuffs today. Clutch, earrings, necklace and heels! SO HAPPY! Thanks Nicole, Elene and Liyin for accompanying me today! :) Tomorrow's english and social studies test! Wish me luck, and all the best to you! The ones reading my blog now :)

There's a funny conversation between Alex and Dennis today. Dennis purposely cleared his throat loudly, so when Alex heard him clearing this throat loudly...

Alex: "You need strepsils?"
Dennis: "No, I see you (your face probably) can (okay) already."
Alex: "...YOU MEAN I LOOK LIKE A STREPSIL?!" *gives bewildered look*
Dennis: *laughs like mad*

Sophia, correct me if I'm wrong in any part of the conversation 'cos I got STM, heh!

HALLELUJAH! (I'm not a christian)

I receive my contact lenses yesterday! Wooooooooo~ :D Doreen, Eunice, Jie Ying, Elene, Liyin and Hui Xian accompanied me there. It took me quite a while to make sure that my eye doesn't blink while I put the lenses inside, aiyah, it's an INVOLUNTARY ACTION! Eh... I don't think I took half an hour to put lenses into each eye right? Heh heh, at least 30 minutes for the whole thing lah, due to my stubborn eyes.

Later headed down to Hougang Mall with Eunice, Doreen, Jie Ying and Elene to walk walk, it has been ages since I last visited there. We went to eat at Kopitiam first, then toilet, haha, you should visit Doreen's blog for Elene's photos. It's HILARIOUS! =X Whoops, heh heh.

Yeah, I left my ________ in the cubicle... only to realise that my hands were empty when we're at Popular for 15 minutes?! My heart nearly dropped! Luckily Elene accompanied me and we both dashed to the 4th floor washroom to find my ________ !!! HENG AH, nobody took it away. Maybe they thought it's a bomb? Hmm...

Went to Sasa to buy stuff, then minitoons, then The Bluez. I tell you, the UNCLE, who is 12 years older than me, is super DISGUSTING okay! He tried to ask Doreen to a movie, well he was joking lah, but that's very thick-skinned of him to be hitting up Secondary school girls.

My bag is a big domokun with mouth wide open right? He just pulled my bag and showed to his colleague, said "Oi *whatever name* you see! Her bag's mouth so big right!" F*ing idiot! NO MANNERS! So what if you're trying to be friendly to us, we find you revolting! So what if you're convincing us to buy items from your shop, you haven't tried enough! Or should I mean, you suck!

In a short sentence to summarise him, that UNCLE is a disgusting, revolting, terrorising, thick-skinned, idiotic freak! He's not even worth half a post in my post!

Skip those. Anyway, walked to library, shoe shop and then playground to play swing! :D

video
Elene and I competing who swings higher, but obviously she won!

Japan, NO MORE! :(
Thailand, YES MORE... :(

Stupid school. So poor meh~~~

I thought my dream was about to come true but it shattered before I could even start!

Some SPH people came to school to sell the career guide book, but I never bring money =.= so I flipped through Sophia's and guess what I found? Forensic Pathologist and Veterinarian Surgeon! So cool! Elijah says he wanna be PILOT, Angelina wanna be psychologist or hotel manager, Sophia wanna be pharmacist, AND! I wanna be gynaecologist!

So I was talking about the future to Sophia.

Me: "If we can watch National Day live at the stadium and Elijah is flying one of those fighter planes, we'll shout 'EH! That's ELIJAH!', haha!"

Me: "... Suay suay, the media crew will be beside us and the whole of Singapore will hear our dialogue..."

I ran out of ideas, that's why I'm writing such crap, haha. Gosh, I just realise that my vocab for this post is very limited... must go READ dictionary already :D

Due to my STM, I can't really remember things well. Serves me right for saying that I have STM when I don't... and now I really have it, which I HATE IT!

Anyway, yesterday was the release of 'O' level results for last year's candidates! The expressions on my seniors' faces were so mixed up, some were tense and some were excited. Since band only starts at 3.30pm on that day, half of the clarinet section (Doreen, Sheila, Eunice, Liyin, Charmaine, Hayley, Hui Xian, Elene and I) were rotting at the wooden stools before heading to canteen. After lunch, we went up. I saw Chin Kheng's result slip... ALL As!!! FREAKY!!! He's 2nd in our school and you must have guessed whose the 1st. Samuel. The freaky ang-moh slang guy. Joey cried like mad because she got 10 points, minus CCA points would give her 8 points leh! If she go poly with this kind of results I'd prolly kill her, haha. Then Faith was a little disappointed, but she still gotta move on mah, so it's useless to brood over results already :)

Switching back to today's lessons.

Mr Yee proudfully announced to us that 97.8% of last year's Sec 4s passed a.math. Hm, so the rest of 2.2% was under him? Again, he carefully said that out of 12 students, 7 students rose from F9s to A2s. Hm, so the 5 students were under his "care"?

OHHHHHHHHHHHH YES, there's a new member in my family! Not really directly but, here is she!

Photobucket

Her name is Scruffy and she's a cairn terrier! Isn't she looooooooovely!!! She's my bro's dog, so I can't play with her unless I go to bro's house or he brings her over. But bro brought her to our house couple of days ago, she's very hyper and she almost wanna eat my dinner! =.= Dog ate my homework became dog ate my dinner.

No Monday blues! :D

Except for Social Studies. I slept so soundly and Mrs Lee's voice is just in the background.

To start of my day without Monday blues, Hayley forgot to bring her clarinet. She couldn't play the new clarinet either because it hasn't been seasoned and its sounds HORRIBLE. So~ while we were seated downstairs behind the podium~ I realise that she didn't use the new clarinet~

...OKAYOKAY, I'M GONNA LEAVE THE NAME IN BLANKS for you guys to figure it out. The gal would prolly kill me for laughing!

Me: "Eh? Whose clarinet?"
Hayley: *sulks* "_____'s !!!"
Me: *laughs uncontrollably*
Elene: "?"
Me: "She is using _____'s clarinet! HAHAHAHA!"
Elene: *laughs like mad*

Ow, it's making my muscles hurt! :D

During bio, Ms Vani was teaching us the topic on "Sexual Reproduction in Humans". *clears throat* ...What were you thinking? HAHA! Anyway, we're bio students so we're looking it in a... scientific way :P

She gave us 2 sets of notes and she was teaching on one set of the notes, "Sexual Reproduction in Man. Ovulation, Menstruation." Someone fired Ms Vani a very... "INTERESTING" question.

Dennis: "Ms Vani, what 'Sexual Reproduction in MAN'?!?!"
Ms Vani: "...Man refers to female and male. It's like the term, MANKIND."

LOL. So... if MANKIND is male, then female is WOMANKIND lah? xD

Yao Yang, Alex, Dennis, Jun Tat were throwing paper balls at each other during CME lesson. And these dangerous people were all around me, damn, cover myself! But playing in a way like this is kinda fun, 'cos I threw a paper ball at Alicia and Yao Yang and she didn't realise it was me who threw it :P. Kinda childish actually, lol.

Oooh~ I'm loving my weekends! =D

Don't you realise that weekend shows are so boring? So Dad called and brought us for a spin at night to Changi with Sis Jean, Francis, Mom.

Firstly, we went to Sim Siang Choon. The place where they sell loads of bathroom and kitchen stuffs, man, too much to see and too much to buy! I didn't take any photos 'cos I was kinda afraid that the staff will scold, so yeap, I saw this SUPER DUPER COOL shower er... room? It's like this shower room which has all the massage thingies and beside it is a mini-sauna room! OHMYGOSH, so shuang! It costs $6,800+++ (X_X) There were loads of funny-looking bathtubs, toilet bowls and sinks. We left after buying couple of items.

Then Dad drove us to some ulu place to watch planes! Normally you see the plane in the size of... 5cm in the sky right? This time round, the planes flew RIGHT ABOVE MY HEAD! You can hear the roaring sound of the engines, so shiok!

Photobucket
The MOON! Not UFO, haha. My phone isn't that good lar.

Video quality is really bad and I recorded it vertically. The lights belong to the plane, haha. Kinda small plane, I think it's SilkAir.

video

Dad told us that some taxi driver actually come to these ulu places to "relieve" themselves behind the trailers! O.O...

I was watching the red ants crawling at the signboard area when the light suddenly flickered off! SCARE ME YOU KNOW! SUCH A ULU PLACE! When I'm done with filming the plane, the light came back... and went off again =.=

Finally we went to have our dinner/supper. Had dimsum! Ever heard of a place that sells dimsum the whole day?! Yes! It's super yummy. Let's see: har gao (steamed prawn dumplings), siew mai (steamed pork with prawn?), lor mai kai (glutinous rice with chicken), 鸡爪 (chicken claws) and fried fruit cocktail! Plus hor fun and 炸酱鸡.

Photobucket
煮炒's menu so small!

Photobucket
LET'S EAT!

Something dropped onto my side of the table while I was halfway eating. I thought it was some inconsiderate people spitting nuts at my direction, it turns out to be a tree above my head... =.= A baluku dropped almost onto my head... I nearly got a baluku (get the irony?)

Then an unknown green mash of I-dunno-what dropped onto my sister's spoon. So disgusting lar. After we finished our meal, we saw this Indian guy talking on the phone loudly. I turned around and saw the same guy! Am I hallucinating or what? No, they're twins! Adult twins! They reserved a table beside us and were talking loudly when Jean called Rina about where is she.

I told Jean, "What if later Rina hears a lot of talking in the background?" Jean says, "Later she ask 'Are you in Little India?', haha!" I couldn't stop laughing! And when I stopped, the Indian family beside also laughed among themselves, laughing as in "ha, ha, ha" being said. Then I laughed again.

It's okay if you didn't get what I mean.

Okay~ Changi Village is famous for its what? Yes, nasi lemak. What else?

AH KUAS!

I cannot take photos of them because it's rude.

Hmm, I saw a long BLONDE hair ah kua and a short hair one, they dress really well but their make-up was kinda THICK. =S

Later, went to Loyang Tua Peh Kong to pray. The burned incense dropped onto my fingers, burned my fingers... OUCH! And we finally went back at 10.30pm :)

Ending this post with the ulu place where we watch planes :D

OW!

My muscles are still aching from Wednesday's PE! That damn vigorous physical training I haven't had been doing since school closed last year!

And we still have to go to band in PE attire for some PT I guess. Well, there goes my muscles. The aches are so... how to say? Focused on one area until my muscles feel very tense, like as if my leg had a cramp. I'm really getting old already... =.=

Band was VERY high today, probably because of the Sec 1s, haha. I got to know some names today like Isabel, Gloria, Edmund, Raymond, Hui Ru, Xin Yan. There's a primary school trombone player and 2 violinists! OMG, sounds so refined, elegant and disciplined! A boy and a girl fell down while playing "Dog and Bone". Heard from Ziana that the boy hurt his left knee and the girl hurt her right knee (or the other way round, haha).

Hui Xian was taking us for "Eagles Soar" and I didn't realise that Mr Lim is just standing between Ruby and I. So when Hui Xian stopped and I turned around. GAHHHHHHHHH! I got such a scare =.=. He has mastered the art of walking without sound... or we were the ones blasting away? Hmm...

There doesn't seem to have any juniors for percussion section :(

Now the OLD feeling is coming back to me again when I saw the Sec 1s. Time flies.

When I was a Sec 1, I kept thinking: Aiyah, 3 more years until I become Sec 4 and get out of this school. There's still a long way to go lah. Now? 2008. O levels already. Study like siao. No more computer. Change attitude towards studying. *sigh*

P/S: Jin Ju told me that some Shop-and-Save people went to her doorstep and gave her a question booklet to do and a lock (?). The people will come back and collect the question booklet from her the next day, when she has finished, and give her a $30 voucher O.O

P/S/S: I want that to be $30 CASH than voucher luh, haha!

Ah~ the back noticeboard. Notice Jay Chou, Gui Lun Mei and the ang-moh model?

Photobucket
We say that Jay Chou is smiling the model's armpit and he's blocking Gui Lun Mei because she wanna see! OMG, HAHAHA! xD

Now, I seriously like math, both e.math and a.math, (no kidding buddy) a lot more than chemistry! Qualitative analysis is so difficult... and we still have to memorise about 4 tables for CA1? CRAZY!~

Sec 1s are coming in this Friday and the members list for band are updated. Initially we had 21 Sec 1s, which was like the most among all CCAs? Then I already guessed that 3 members would choose another CCA, if you had been paying attention to me in school lol. So now we have 18 luh... DAMN LITTLE CAN!

Had PE today. How can I describe it?

Torturous.
Horrible.
Tiring.
Sweaty.
Full.
Draining!

Mr Fernandez made us run carpark for 10 rounds with breathing in tempo... then 3 races of relay. Allowed us to buy fruits to eat. Okay? Recharged now? GO RUN 5 ROUNDS OF 2 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS! My legs were wobbly after all the climbing and running already and now I'm afraid of the stairs O.O Still have to climb up 4 stories to reach classroom... damn... it's torturous for me.

Anyway, this morning I discovered that Xiao Li, Alicia, Jing Yin, Larry, Yao Yang, Jian Han, Wei Ren, Kwang Yong (forgot if I had missed anyone) and I were chosen for some PESA workshop? Heard that it's a debate workshop... and it's on this Friday leh! How suay can I be. 3 to 5pm at the Playhouse =.= WTH, I thought we can go somewhere outta this school.

We finally finished the noticeboards today. The cut-out characters were super duper funny! *Will post the funny bit later.

I wasn't really happy with some things today... =S Can't post it here though 'cos everyone can read it. If you wanna know, ask me personally. Maybe you'll think I'm a little petty over such a trivial matter but it's... aiya, I just gave away some details already *smacks head*

I'll be super busy nowadays because...

I CANNOT DEPEND ON MR YEE TO PASS MY A.MATH!

Why, the hell, in the first place, they assigned a not-so experienced (plus not-so-good reputation: according to students) teacher to help the weaker students?! Why do the smartest students get the best teacher!? They are so smart already, all you gotta do is to assign a super-slack teacher/a teacher who talks to himself (YES, you know which male teacher), throw them a stack of worksheets and shake leg. You get your pay anyway.

Now you know how much I realise to treasure Mrs Teo already...

Today we had 3 straight periods of a.math RIGHT AFTER recess. Great. Horrific. I thought he was gonna show us some powerpoint slides but instead he showed a word document with 3 pathetic math link in Times New Roman font =.=.

He kept mentioning that "These websites are very useful, if you wish to know more about math, you can copy these websites down." Alriiiiight.

So after showing us how "magnificent" a single website can teach us about cosine graph, he moved onto a math forum web. And he says this again,

"Actually ah, you can find everything here. There's a lot of topics here like trigo, caculus..."

Oh? So why are you here? I mean, all our queries are answered on WEBSITES, on the INTERNET already.

C'mon lah, he spends 2 and 3/4 of the period explaining about graphs. How can we learn if we don't try any questions? The more you explain, the more we're confused; the more you explain, the more you expect us to absorb every single word like a genius and do every questions without fail.

I'm going to be super duper hardworking during tuitions and (ee-yer) make-up lessons. Books books books... I'm gonna depend on you now!

I won't update so often anymore, except for weekends. But that doesn't mean I'm closing down either, it's just that I'm tied up and I have to keep the Nuffnang ad running :) Haven't watch "National Treasure" yet? Click on the ad :)

Yesyesyes, I have something to share before I sign off.

Medical Myths Even Doctors Believe
http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20071221/sc_livescience/7medicalmythsevendoctorsbelieve

In the British Medical Journal this week, researchers looked into several
common misconceptions, from the belief that a person should drink eight glasses of water per day to the notion that reading in low light ruins your eyesight.

"We got fired up about this because we knew that physicians accepted these beliefs and were passing this information along to their patients," said Dr. Aaron Carroll, assistant professor of pediatrics at the Indiana University School of Medicine. "And these beliefs are frequently cited in the popular media."

And so here they are, so that you can inform your doctor:

Myth: We use only 10 percent of our brains.

Fact: It's sometimes erroneously credited to Albert Einstein. But MRI scans, PET scans and other imaging studies show no dormant areas of the brain, and even viewing individual neurons or cells reveals no inactive areas, the new paper points out. Metabolic studies of how brain cells process chemicals show no nonfunctioning areas. The myth probably originated with self-improvement hucksters in the early 1900s who wanted to convince people that they had yet not reached their full potential, Carroll figures. It also doesn't jibe with the fact that our other organs
run at full tilt.

[Okay, I'm really really disheartened :( ]

Myth: You should drink at least eight glasses of water a day.

Fact: "There is no medical evidence to suggest that you need that much water," said Dr. Rachel Vreeman, a pediatrics research fellow at the university and co-author of the journal article. Vreeman thinks this myth can be traced back to a 1945 recommendation from the Nutrition Council that a person consume the equivalent of 8 glasses (64 ounces) of fluid a day. Over the years, "fluid" turned to water. But fruits and vegetables, plus coffee and other liquids, count.

Myth: Shaved hair grows back faster, coarser and darker.

Fact: A 1928 clinical trial compared hair growth in shaved patches to growth in non-shaved patches. The hair which replaced the shaved hair was no darker or thicker, and did not grow in faster. More recent studies have confirmed that one. Here's the deal: When hair first comes in after being shaved, it grows with a blunt edge on top, Carroll and Vreeman explain. Over time, the blunt edge gets worn so it may seem thicker than it actually is. Hair that's just emerging can be darker too, because it hasn't been bleached by the sun.

Myth: Reading in dim light ruins your eyesight.

Fact: The researchers found no evidence that reading in dim light causes permanent eye damage. It can cause eye strain and temporarily decreased acuity, which subsides after rest.

Myth: Mobile phones are dangerous in hospitals.

Fact: There are no known cases of death related to this one. Cases of less-serious interference with hospital devices seem to be largely anecdotal, the researchers found. In one real study, mobile phones were found to interfere with 4 percent of devices, but only when the phone was within 3 feet of the device. A more recent study, this year, found no interference in 300 tests in 75 treatment rooms. To the contrary, when doctors use mobile phones, the improved communication means they
make fewer mistakes.

"Whenever we talk about this work, doctors at first express disbelief that these things are not true," said Vreeman said. "But after we carefully lay out medical evidence, they are very willing to accept that these beliefs are actually false."

Ayumi Hamasaki has totally lost her hearing of her left ear... ='( It's cause by the immense workload that she face everyday, but her lost of hearing has happened 7 years ago.

"On January 4th, 2008, Hamasaki had announced on her blog that she had went completely deaf in her left ear. She announced that she would like to continue being a vocalist until she also went deaf in her right ear. As of now, there are no signs of her losing hearing in her right ear as well."

-Wikipedia

I was really shocked when I heard this news on the Taiwan channel this afternoon. Reports has it that she may be taking a break. Here's an "evidence" shown on the forums that the fans believe that some of her songs are giving us hints on her hearing problems.

"Until that Day" - Ayumi Hamasaki

I can't yet end up, I can't stop
I've always got it over in such a way, haven't I?

If I throw it out and turn my back
It's rude to the tears I shed at that time, isn't it?

You see? I don't care at all
Whenever and however I may sell this body by the piece
But I never give over my heart alone to anyone else

You see? There sometimes are the days
When I think until when and for what purpose
I just have to keep on going forward this way
But because you are watching me...

It's not so simple, I don't care even if I look laughable
It's uninteresting to live only for myself

Hey, that person thinks as if he knew everything about me
Just after we smiled and talked a little together
A big mistake

Hey, the reason of this smile and the meaning of this word can't be understood
Because I don't even want to make them understood
It can't be helped
Indeed, no one knows about real me
More than you

You see? If I run out of this place some day
I'm sure they will wave their arms
With satisfied looks

You see? If I run out of this place some day
I'm sure they will nod quietly
With satisfied looks

I ask you for keeping on watching me
Until that day...

"Not Yet" - Ayumi Hamasaki

I'll show you my secret
You don't yet know

I wonder if you will find
The secret here
I wonder if you will believe

The miracle here

The secret
The miracle
The secret
The miracle

Even thought I don't go crazy over her songs and idolize her as much as I did before, but she has been a great singer for the past 10 years. Go and take a look at her lyrics (translated into english ones of course), she can write so much with such meanings although she's a school drop-out.

Anyway, I really really wish that she can resume hearing on her left ear.

Here's a chinese girl who sings SO MUCH like Ayumi!

Babies born in 1992 are so damn SUAY.

The "star" awarding system was introduced in my primary school when I just enrolled in it.
Girls born in 1992 may have to go to army someday.
We only have a chance to participate in SYF.
During Sec 1, we didn't even have a bloody orientation camp to welcome us.
Our textbook syallbuses changed.
We are the first batch of guinea pigs to take the Oxford syllabus.
Good teachers in HS left for other schools this year.
And why do the teachers have to leave when we're taking our Os this year?

Gosh, I feel so OLD when I entered school today.

I mean, old as in, I don't see Faith, Xin Hong, An Chun, Dawn, Jackson, Joey and Shi Min they all. At least if I see them in school, I'll feel that I'm only the 2nd-oldest =D So today had to climb all the way up to 4th floor, was super exhausted, lol.

And today, Mr Khoo and Mr Chia gave this super loooong speech. I was sleeping while he was yakking away, I remembered him talking about the Judo people in competitions. Then he suddenly shouted "PAH!", the sound when a judo person slams you onto the mat. Dang, I got shocked instantly and woke up =.=.

The PA crew were sleeping during Mr Chia's talk I guess, haha. Cos they couldn't switch to the next slide on time, well the computer could be seriously lag. But that guy is so greedy that he opened, like what, 4 powerpoint slides on our school's lok-kok computer? C'mon lah, take it easy on the computer.

Uh, my computer is getting freaky now with all the damned Trojan invading my comp, toodles.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Goodbye 2007; Hello~ 2008!

Well, I'm actually not excited about the new year...

Hmm, my new year resolutions? Nah, I'm not making those stupid plans again because I can't even follow up, so what's the point?

Events/things that I look forward to in 2008 are...
1. Brother's wedding!
2. Japan trip
3. "Twilight" movie to come out! Oh please please PLEASE, I don't want it to come out on 2010!

And of course, who doesn't love Chinese New Year?

Because: Chinese New Year = go shopping = buy new clothes = have reunion dinner = visit relatives = get ang pows = play games!

Oh yes, my family went to Bliss restaurant for dinner last Saturday. FYI, the restaurant is the one located inside Punggol Park :)

...Maybe that's why they put up this notice.

Anyway, here's my grilled boneless chicken with black pepper sauce *yum*

And Mom's salmon kebab

Mom was packing the tv cabinet yesterday and suddenly showed me my photos when I was young... very young. I couldn't recognise myself though =.=, I thought that baby was my cousin or something, haha.
